# ForgeVideo Chronicle: editorial sources and limits

## Historical account

The [original public source note](/research/forgevideo-media-factory-public-2026-04-30.md) records the publisher's spring-2026 production account and later reports production inactive after three published videos. It links an episode and summarizes internal records and store positioning. Those are not an independent benchmark or a publicly reproducible production campaign.

The [corrected Chronicle](/chronicles/forgevideo-near-zero-touch-media-factory) retains the factory metaphor as a design ambition. It withdraws claims that the episodes establish a repeatable machine, preserved taste, faster production or reduced manual work. No operator-touch count, labor baseline, cycle-time comparison, cost study or quality evaluation is supplied.

## Episode reference

The original account supplied [this Episode 2 reference](https://youtu.be/SyVuDJiJYLQ). Retrieval of both the short URL and full YouTube watch URL returned tool cache misses during the September editorial review. That tooling limit does not establish whether the video is public, private, removed or available to another viewer. Playback and current availability remain unverified here.

The public source note also does not establish that Episode 2 was publicly available by May 6. The corrected link label is a reference, not a claim of independently verified proof. A finished output would still not establish how much production work was automated or saved.

## Customer-kit scope

The [workflow-kit page](/store/forgevideo) describes the package and its current availability. The retained kit README, agent instructions and release-boundary reference distinguish packet preparation from media production: the kit organizes project records and produces validation and handoff evidence. Its documented scope does not render, edit, upload, publish, clear rights or spend provider credits.

The kit's documented release decision requires strict validation and current human approvals. A fresh packet is intentionally not release-ready. A structural pass cannot replace editorial judgment, a rights decision, listening to a mix or reviewing captions. The Chronicle's new packet-review matrix is explicitly a September editorial aid, not a recovered result from the episodes.

## Correction scope

The opening, metadata, research disclosure and body now distinguish the historical production lane, intended workflow and narrower customer kit. Both purchase-oriented article links now invite readers to view the kit; this editorial change does not change checkout or release state. Original publication and May revision history remain visible alongside the September correction.

The original source note is retained unchanged. No private production paths, upload metadata, credentials, assets or locked production mechanics are added to this public record.
